Remove your jewelry before exercising, showering and swimming. Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions or hair products. Chlorine, salt water can permanently damage or discolour them. Store your silver jewellery in its original package when it is not being worn will keep out the air that causes oxidation. This is because jewellery is particularly susceptible to damage from the effects of chemicals present in perfume, hairspray, make-up, nail polish remover, body oils, sun tan lotion and deodorant. Your jewellery is 18K plaqued gold with 2 micron antitarnish which is the normal amount recommended. With regular wear, it will last you approximately 2-3years for earrings, and necklaces. Please keep in mind that regular wear means that you wear your few times a week. While if you wear your jewellery every day it may last for 1-2 years.

For regular cleaning, just use a soft cloth and wipe the pieces regularly. For tarnished gold-plated pieces, you can rub them gently with a soft cloth and a small amount of mild soap and water to clean them. Then dry them with a microfibre cloth.To remove any dirt embedded in the crevices, use a cotton swab or soft-bristled toothbrush to remove it. If you are still not confident in cleaning your gold-plated jewellery, you’ll want to bring it to a professional cleaner.
